I can really relate and I am in the process of becoming unpalatable myself. I would always say I've had plenty of enemies and people not like me but they were just bullies who took against me without knowing anything about me. I have friends (well, sort of) but it's just like you describe - they don't really know me, they just know the fake persona I thought I had to be to be liked by them. By anyone! But the people who love me the most - my partner and my Mum - they see the real me.

That white rice line is brilliant Percy. White rice isn't disliked. It’s just never actively chosen. People eat it when they haven't decided what they want. And that specific loneliness has no obvious wound to point to because it's not exclusion. It's non-selection. The tin shed is the quiet hinge. You found yourself by having nowhere left to perform. Solitude wasn't a consolation prize. It was the baseline requirement. 🌿
